The new single from Island’s Shawn Mendes and the Hulu series Nine Perfect Strangers have Shazamers’ thumbs working overtime.
Mendes’ “Summer of Love," featuring Tainy, is getting significant airplay out of the gate; it’s this week’s most-added track at radio.
Two songs from Nine Perfect Strangers are the Biggest Movers on this week’s Shazam USA Top 100: Unloved f/Raven Violet’s “Strange Effect” (Heavenly Recordings), which is being used as the theme song, and Gabriels’ “Loyalty” (Atlas). In the U.K., TV’s Love Island is driving the Biggest Movers list, with tracks by Nick Wilson, Clinton Kane and Tommee Profitt at the top.
Rounding out the Top 5 is Lonr. f/Amber Mack’s “Save My Love,” from WaterTower’s soundtrack to Reminiscence, and Imagine Dragons’ “Believer” (KiDinaKORNER/Interscope), which is generating buzz after being used in a Samsung Galaxy phone ad.
