Hitco’s DJ D-Nice, who’s earned plaudits across the culture for his Instagram Live-based Club Quarantine—now celebrating its one-year anniversary, you will be unsurprised to learn—will drop new single “No Plans for Love” f/NE-YO on 3/19.
D-Nice co-produced the new jam with Kent Jones. He will mark its release with a 24-hour DJ set on Instagram Live that will see “No Plans for Love” played every hour on the hour, with a similar hourly spotlight heard on Radio Premiere. D-Nice will be featured on the CBS Early Show With Gayle King and Entertainment Tonight and in People, among other platforms.
Club Quarantine began as a sanctuary for guests to hang out, talk, listen to music and generally put the pandemic aside for a while. Guests have included Michelle Obama, Rihanna, Jamie Foxx, Halle Berry and Mark Zuckerberg. D-Nice was invited by the former First Lady to join her “couch party” as part of her When We All Vote initiative. He also scored a Shine a Light honor at the BET Awards and a 2020 Artist of the Year Webby in the Special Achievement Category.
Word has it that Joel Klaiman will be pop-locking through at least the first 45 seconds of D-Nice’s marathon DJ set before collapsing in exhaustion.
