BLACKPINK'S ROSÉ SOARS WITH SOLO STINT

BLACKPINK's Rosé is blossoming as a solo artist. The YG/Interscope star dropped a two-pack of songs on Friday, with lead single "On the Ground" off to a strong start at DSPs and YouTube.

"On the Ground" has already broken records at both Spotify and YouTube, where it amassed the biggest debut for a Korean solo artist. Rosé's video logged 39m views its first day at YouTube and generated 3.2m streams on day one at Spotify.

Following its addition to the latter's Today's Top Hits, it was back in the Top 10 of the global chart on Monday.

"On the Ground" was co-written by hitmakers Jon Bellion (Justin Bieber's "Holy," "Anyone"; Miley Cyrus' "Midnight Sky") and Amy Allen (Halsey's "Without Me"; Harry Styles' "Adore You"). Rosé is the second BLACKPINK member to release solo material, following Jennie's solo debut in 2018.
