ICY/Warner's Saweetie has landed another heater with "Best Friend" f/Doja Cat. Released one month ago, it's been locked inside Spotify's Top 25 (U.S.) ever since. The song is currently #14 on Spotify (a new peak) and #38 at Apple Music.
Saweetie has also become a favorite at Rhythm and Urban radio; "Best Friend" earned Most Added honors at Rhythm when it impacted in January and is Top 5-bound. In another sign of her growing prominence, it's crossed to T40, where the track is in the Top 30.
Saweetie has racked up four #1's at radio: "Back to the Streets" f/Jhené Aiko topped Urban and Rhythm first thing this year; "Tap In" went to #1 at Urban (and #2 at Rhythm) in 2020; and the artist's debut smash, "My Type," ascended to the apex of Rhythm in September 2019.
The string of chart-topping singles from the Bay Area rapper has built quite the resume for the rising star, who has yet to release a full-length project. What else does Saweetie have in store before her debut album arrives?
