Spotify has selected rap phenom the Kid LAROI as the next act featured in their emerging artist program, RADAR. The Grade A/Columbia teen has amassed 11m monthly listeners, including high-profile collabs with Internet Money, Marshmello, Lil Tecca, Lil Mosey and Juice WRLD.
A native of Australia, the Kid LAROI will enjoy features in the RADAR playlist, a Spotify Singles recording, promotional support for his upcoming releases and on-platform marketing and social promotion. The campaign will also include a mini-documentary to premiere in November.
"We've been watching the Kid LAROI for 18 months," said Spotify’s Head of Global Hits Ned Monahan. "He developed a rabid fanbase in Australia, then translated it to an even bigger audience in the U.S., which is incredibly rare and speaks to his potential as a global hitmaker. We can’t wait to see LAROI break on a superstar level."
His debut project, F*ck Love, bowed on the HITS Top 50 at #8 in July. LAROI will be the third RADAR act in the U.S., following Alaina Castillo and J.I the Prince of N.Y. Read more about the Kid's triumphant path to a record deal, his connection to Juice WRLD and his creative prowess here.
