LIVE MUSIC ROCKS THE PARKING LOTS

Nelly takes his fans back two decades when political drama meant "a hanging chad."

Live music returned this weekend in three cities with Live Nation’s first-ever U.S. drive-in concert series, Live From The Drive In. Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Nelly, Jon Pardi, El Monstero and Yacht Rock Revue kicked off the series with headlining performances across Nashville, St. Louis and Indianapolis from Friday through Sunday.

Paisley headlined all three cities, surprising concert-goers with a special video duet with Carrie Underwood on “Remind Me.” Comedian Kevin Nealon opened for him in Nashville.

“Thank you for this weekend everyone,” Paisley wrote on Instagram. “People stayed by their cars, rules were followed, and beer was drank. We will never take the chance to play music for granted.”

Rucker headlined the final night of the weekend in Nashville, Pardi played Nashville on Friday and Indianapolis on Saturday, and

Nelly closed out the sold-out weekend in St. Louis with a hometown celebration of the 20th anniversary of Country Grammar.

“Live From The Drive In was the first, major return to live music, here in the U.S., with artists performing live in-person giving fans those amazing summer concert experiences they’ve been missing,” said Tom See, President of Live Nation Venues. “Thank you to the artists, fans, crews and Live Nation teams for reminding the world that nothing replaces the energy and excitement of live music, we look forward to doing this again soon.”

We're told that prices ranged from $125-$350 per car (depending on "parking zone"), with a maximum of four attendees per car. The Indianapolis and St. Louis show capacity was 1k cars, and Nashville 600.

Paisley’s livestream of the Nashville performance has been viewed more that 619,000 times.

Brad Paisley fans revel in the ease with which they can find their cars after the concert.
