The No Shoes Nation is abuzz as Blue Chair/Warner Music Nashville’s Kenny Chesney scores a #1 chart bow with his new set, Here and Now. The album’s title track, meanwhile, is flying at Country radio. Recording Academy interim CEO/President Harvey Mason Jr. is overseeing a massive MusiCares aid effort in response to COVID-19, with significant work also done by such industry players as MusiCares Board Chair and Amazon Music macher Steve Boom. The need is so great that the first round of funds they raised was disbursed quickly; a new round of fundraising is now underway. In the meantime, Harvey and his colleagues will certainly don masks and gloves if forced to handle this print edition.
