Create Music Group appears atop Inc. magazine's inaugural list of California's fastest-growing private companies.
Create took the top spot on the Inc. 5000 Series: California, a regional list which provides a look at the most successful companies within the California economy's independent small businesses segment. Create had a two-year revenue growth of almost 20,960%, as described in an article charting the company's growth and impact on the music industry, which can be read here.
Launched in 2015 by Strauss and co-founder Alexandre Williams (pictured above, right), Create Music Group started by providing rights-management services for artists including Marshmello, Future, Lil Yachty, Wiz Khalifa, Trippie Redd and Post Malone. Create currently administers publishing for hundreds of artists and monetizes more than 6 billion streams per month.
After expressing his pleasure at this milestone, founder/CEO Jonathan Strauss declared, "There is zero chance we could have built this organization without every single employee at our company and every one of our clients, partners and artists who have believed in us over these last four years. Even with this achievement we are still at the beginning of our journey."
