UNI MUSIC LAUNCHES ARTISTS APP

Universal Music Group has launched a new app for its artists that provides data, analytics and insights from the major streaming services.

Universal Music Artists (UMA) is now available in Apple’s AppStore and the Google Play Store. For the first time in a single app, artists and their managers will have the ability to view personalized information across Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and YouTube. Artists will additionally be able to track social engagement across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

UMG’s data team worked closely with artists and managers to develop UMA, and the app is already receiving strong first impressions from prominent artist managers.

Method Music Co-Founder Jack Street said, “UMA is a great tool for us to get a real understanding of how our fans are consuming and interacting with our artists in real time.”

AG Artists Founder Andrew Gertler added, “It's great to have a comprehensive analytical tool like UMA, to access real time data and be able to make decisions with up-to-date information. We've always taken a holistic approach to the success of Shawn (Mendes)'s music, which means ensuring everything across all platforms is working in sync, and watching how fans interact across all the major touchpoints."

And Lighthouse Management & Media Partner Zack Morgenroth said “UMA is the only place where I can see an overview in one place of how fans and consumers are reacting, which helps us strategize for the future. By having everything consolidated, I’m able to cut down the amount of time that I’m pulling information and instead focus on output.”
