El Paso resident Khalid held his A Night For Suncity benefit concert there on Sunday 9/1. Thousands of fans gathered to watch Khalid, SZA, Rae Sremmurd, Lil Yachty, Matthew McConaughey and others perform at the community-boosting event.
Khalid was introduced by Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke, a fellow Texan.
The concert reportedly sold out within hours of being announced, and raised $500,000 from ticket and t-shirt sales. Proceeds went to the El Paso Shooting Victims Fund and El Paso Community Foundation, to benefit victims of recent gun violence.
