SHAWN-NA-NA

On the auspicious occasion of his being the first male solo artist to have both the #1 and #2 songs at Pop radio, Island's Shawn Mendes receives a handsome platinum plaque from label boss Darcus Beese and team. Seen just before a tearful collective rendition of "O Canada" are (l-r) Island COO Eric Wong, SVP A&R Ziggy Chareton, Mendes, manager Andrew Gertler and Beese.

The plaque, and we'll wait for you to get our your scorecards and pencils, marks a platinum album, double-platinum single "In My Blood," platinum singles "If I Can't Have You" and "Lost in Japan" and gold single "Youth."

Mendes and Camila Cabello, whose "Señorita" is #1 at Pop, will perform the song on the MTV VMAs on 8/26. "If I Can't Have You," #2 at Pop, is also #1 at Hot AC.
