SONGWRITERS HALL TO HONOR HALSEY

Halsey will receive the Hal David Starlight Award at the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s 50th annual Induction and Awards Dinner on 6/13 in New York City.

Created in 2004, the award honors young songwriters making a significant impact in the music industry. Halsey, a Universal Music Publishing Group writer, joins previous honorees such as Ed Sheeran, Nick Jonas, Taylor Swift and John Legend.

“Halsey bares her soul with heart-wrenching, rebellious and complex lyrics that come from a place of creativity and strength where not many songwriters are comfortable going,” SHOF President & CEO Linda Moran said. “She is more than worthy to join the roster of the young songwriters who have received the coveted Hal David Starlight Award.”
