SPOTIFY, SAMSUNG BOND FURTHER

Spotify’s alliance with Samsung has taken another step, becoming deeply integrated with Samsung’s intelligence platform Bixby and, beginning today, being pre-installed on millions of new Samsung mobile devices globally.

In addition, users of the new Galaxy S10 may qualify for six months of free Spotify Premium. Spotify became Samsung’s go-to music service provider seven months ago.

“Today’s news will only ensure a more seamless Spotify listening experience across devices for listeners around the world,” said Sten Garmark, Spotify’s VP of Consumer Products.

The Bixby Home screen will now provide Spotify content and recommendations tailored for individual listeners.

Spotify broke down the offering to five key points on their blog.

In addition, Samsung Galaxy S10 customers are also being treated to four free months of ad-free YouTube and YouTube Music.

Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Tab S5e devices will also come with a four-month offer once available for purchase and all other Samsung Galaxy device owners who activate a device between 2/20/19 and 2/29/20 will be able to try YouTube Premium for two months free.
