U.K. MIDWEEKS: #1 ON THE HORIZON

RCA rockers Bring Me the Horizon are heading toward their first U.K. Official Albums #1 with Amo outselling both The Greatest Showman and Backstreet Boys at midweek stage. Over on singles, Ariana Grande is on course for a second week at the top.

Amo is the sixth album from BMTH and leads the way in physical and digital sales. The Greatest Showman (Atlantic) is down to #2, and Backstreet Boys’ DNA (RCA) starts at #3.

Rudimental’s Toast To Our Differences (Atlantic) is also new at #4, followed by Trevor Horn’s Reimagines the Eighties (BMG) at #6 and Feral Roots (WEA) by Rival Sons at #10.

On the Official Singles midweek chart, Grande’s “7 Rings” (Island) is currently 9k combined sales ahead of Ava Max’s “Sweet But Psycho” (Atlantic) at #2.

Sam Smith & Normani are set to hold on at #3 with "Dancing With a Stranger" (Capitol), Calvin Harris and Rag’N’Bone Man’s “Giant” (Columbia) lifts a place to #4, and Mark Ronson & Miley Cyrus’s “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” (Columbia) rebounds one to #5.

Mabel could land her second Top 10 single with “Don’t Call Me Up” (Polydor), so far up three slots to #8. This week’s highest new entry looks set to come from J. Cole’s “Middle Child” (Polydor) at #9.

Three new songs could enter this week’s Top 40: Dua Lipa’s “Swan Song” (Warner Bros.) from the upcoming film Alita: Battle Angel, which starts at #28, Yungen f/Dappy’s “Comfortable” (RCA) opens at 32, and Little Mix’s new version of “Think About Us” f/Ty Dolla $ign (RCA) is #38.
