Chris Brown was released by French authorities Tuesday after he and two other men—one of them his bodyguard—were arrested in Paris and questioned on the suspicion of rape, according to multiple reports.
Brown was accused by a 24-year-old woman who said the alleged incident happened at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental hotel on 1/15.
Raphael Chiche, the singer's attorney, said his client "vigorously protests his innocence" and has advised him to file a complaint due to the "slander of which he has unfairly been the subject.," CNN reported.
After his release, Brown went on Instagram to defend himself with a post that said, "I want to make it perfectly clear, this is false," along with a graphic that said, "This bitch lyin'."
The Paris prosecutor's office told the Associated Press that Brown has been authorized to leave France while the investigation is ongoing.
