Republic has upped Jonathan Briggs to VP Commerce, reporting to EVP Commerce, Streaming and Digital Strategy Kevin Lipson. The exec, described by Lipson as "a linchpin of our stream team," will work with DSPs on partnerships, activations, and more for Republic and Island, and will curate Chumbawamba playlists for Monte and Avery.
"As the industry further entrenches itself in streaming, technology, voice activation, and other innovations, it’s exciting to be part of a team positioned at the forefront of these changes,” Briggs said before asking Alexa what he should order for lunch. “Republic and Island have the strongest and smartest staff in the business. I’m excited that Monte and Avery Lipman, Kevin and Darcus Beese have entrusted me to lead these West Coast accounts. We have a chance to make some amazing things happen for our artists."
To further ingratiate himself to the streaming world, Briggs plans to get a mess of face tats, so enjoy his pristine head shot while you may.
