U.K. MIDWEEKS: SOUNDS LIKE SUMMER

5 Seconds of Summer are challenging The Greatest Showman for the U.K. Official Albums #1 this week with Youngblood (Capitol) just 3k combined sales behind the long-running front-runner at midway stage. Over at Singles, will Clean Bandit end the week at #1?

The second highest new albums entry looks set to be Johnny Marr with Call the Comet (New Voodoo) at #5, while Christina Aguilera starts at #8 with Liberation (RCA).

Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda opens at #9 with his solo debut, Post Traumatic (Warner Bros.), and Wilko Johnson is currently at #17 with his first new material in 30 years, Blow Your Mind (Sony Music CG). Nas’ new Kanye-produced album Nasir (Virgin EMI) starts at #19.

Over on the Official Singles midweeks, Clean Bandit are in the lead with “Solo” f/Demi Lovato (Atlantic) 1.3k combined sales ahead of George Ezra with “Shotgun” (Columbia) at #2.

Elsewhere, Tom Walker has hit a new peak with “Leave a Light On” (Relentless) rising three places to #5.

Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande could have the highest new entry of the week with “Bed” (YMCMB) at #17, ahead of Jonas Blue f/Jack & Jack with “Rise” (Virgin EMI), which has risen 13 places to #18.
