DI FRISCO’S CAROLINE DREAM COMES TRUE

Marisa Di Frisco has joined Caroline as National Director of Alternative/Rock Promotion. She’ll be based in New York and will report to SVP Promotion Marni Halpern.

Said Caroline/Harvest GM Jacqueline Saturn, “I’ve been impressed with Marisa’s passion for music and live shows for quite some time. I’ve actively followed her Instagram to see what she was into and have dreamed of hiring her for a long time. She is exactly the type of person who fits in with the Caroline aesthetic and will bring commitment, passion and dedication to our partners and artists. Can’t wait to take her to Amoeba when she comes to the Tower.”

Halpern lauded Di Frisco’s “passion and knowledge about both radio and alternative music,” adding that, “As Caroline continues to evolve, breaking artists at all formats, we still embody the foundation of developing young rock and alternative artists. Now, with Marisa’s infectious energy and her determination to break new artists, Caroline will be an even bigger force, just as she tells me she is in the mosh pit.”

When her turn came up, Di Frisco offered, “I’ve always had a passion for Alternative Rock music and artist development, and throughout my career, it’s been gratifying to see the format’s growth. I’m thrilled to take what I’ve learned during my 10 years in radio and pair it with an incredible promotions team led by Jacqueline and Marni, two of the most talented and respected leaders in the industry. Joining the Caroline family is a dream come true.”

Di Frisco spent the last six-plus years at iHeartMedia as part of Tom Poleman’s National Programming team, most recently as Alternative Rock Artist Relations Manager, at one point gently explaining to her boss that not everyone can get away with wearing black leather to rock clubs.
