BORCHETTA'S VICIOUS NEWS

In a continued effort to elevate rock music in today’s playing field, BMLG honcho Scott Borchetta and designer/entrepreneur John Varvatos have inked U.K. band Pretty Vicious to their JV imprint Big Machine Records/John Varvatos Records.

“This band lives up to its name and I cannot wait for these lethal young men to come and conquer the U.S.,” Borchetta shared.

Pretty Vicious joins a still-growing roster that includes the L.A.-based guitar slingers of badflower. BMLG also houses the likes of Steven Tyler and Cheap Trick.

In other rock-related news, the imprint is still celebrating the appointment of Heather Luke as SVP/Head of Promotion, which was announced last week. The longtime Warner Bros. Rock Promotion SVP is an established goat-thrower who’s sure to kick things into high gear in this new gig.

HITS’ own Todd Hensley is also known for throwing goat but prefers throwing sheep.
