BRUCE EXTENDS BROADWAY RUN

Bruce Springsteen has tacked on an additional four months to his Broadway run, extending Springsteen On Broadway through 6/30.

Demand for tickets at the 950-seat Walter Kerr Theater was so high when the initial 16-week run went on sale that fans who registered and were verified at that time will be given first crack at tickets during the 2/28-6/30 extension. Ticketmaster will contact people who received codes and were not able to purchase tickets or were placed on standby with further information about the added shows.

Tickets go on sale 12/19. There will be no additional registration at Ticketmaster Verified Fan, but a digital lottery for 26, $75 seats per show will continue to operate through the extension here.

Springsteen On Broadway has played to 100% capacity since it started officially opened on 10/12. In its latest reporting period, the week ending 11/19, it had an average ticket price of $507. When the show wraps, it’s total box office gross could be close to $100m.

It opened to rave reviews all around, our reviewer noting “The all-acoustic evening is a storyteller’s show, the explication of a life spent searching for truth.”
