ADELE CANCELS TOUR’S FINAL SHOWS: VOCAL CORD DAMAGE

Adele abruptly canceled the final two shows of her lengthy scheduled world tour at Wembley Stadium after experiencing throat discomfort during her first two Wembley dates.

“I struggled vocally both nights,” she said in a statement issued Friday on Facebook. A visit to her doctor revealed vocal cord damage and recommended she not perform. Thus far, she has done 121 shows on the tour.

In the emotional statement directed at her fans, Adele expressed regret at having to cancel the performance. “I’m sorry. I’m devastated… Please forgive me,” she wrote.
