TAG THEY'RE IT: SHAZAM'S BIGGEST MOVERS

New singles from Def Jam’s 2 Chainz and Republic’s Ariana Grande are among the Biggest Movers on the Shazam U.S. Top 100 chart while the week’s biggest gainer is an 8-year-old track from Down Under

The Australian duo Bag Raiders see their 2009 single “Shooting Stars” (Modular) rise 113 slots to #88, making it the week’s biggest mover. They are up 137 slots on the U.K. chart as well.

The song has had prominent placements—a use on Australia's Got Talent in 2013 pushed it back on the charts—and most recently it was featured in the videogame NBA 2K16. It built an audience as a meme this year through its use in a video of a large man diving.

“Good Drank’ from 2 Chainz f/Gucci Mane and Quavo is up 59 slots to #76 and Ariana Grande’s “Everyday” saw a 35-slot spike to #62. “Just Hold On” from Steve Aioki & Louis Tomlison appears on the Biggest Movers chart as the Ultra single surpasses 100m plays on Spotify.

In the U.K., The Cinematic Orchestra’s 10-year-old track “To Build a Home” is at #1. The track has seen a copious number of synchs, more recently in the film The Edge of Seventeen, a January 2016 episode of Eastenders and ads for Guinness, Sky Atlantic and Homeland.
