"FOREVER COUNTRY":
A NASHVILLE COMBO PLATTER FOR CMA 50

Just what is "Forever Country," now #1 at iTunes? On CMA Records, with MCA Nashville working radio and UMG Nashville handling marketing, it's a country supergroup of sorts, performing three classic tunes—John Denver's "Take Me Home Country Roads," Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again" and Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You"—to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the CMA Awards.

Artists from all five decades of the CMAs are represented, and holy cow, it's a who's who of country.

Among the performers: Carrie Underwood, Parton, Nelson, Dierks Bentley, Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Randy Travis, Charley Pride, Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire, Darius Rucker and more.

The video premiered on Dancing With the Stars, which seriously moved the needle at iTunes, judging by the track's powerhouse performance thus far.

“I mean it from my heart when I say that ‘Forever Country’ would never have been possible without the industry putting aside individual interests for the opportunity to help us promote the genre around the world and celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the CMA Awards,” said CMA CEO Sarah Trahern.
