A 12-year-old New Yorker, named Grace VanderWaal, auditioned for America's Got Talent in last night's episode and totally wowed the crowd, as well as judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Simon Cowell, who dubbed her "the next Taylor Swift." That's certainly some high praise, especially coming from Cowell. Watch a video of the moment (which really is a moment) below.
Her performance of an original song (played on the ukulele) earned a standing ovation from the room. And Mandel was so impressed that he used his one opportunity in the season to press the "Golden Buzzer" and send her straight to the live shows, regardless of the other judges' potential votes. "I think you are a living, beautiful, walking miracle," he gushed in response to an earlier exchange between the starlet-in-the-making and Cowell, who asked "you think you can win?" Her response: "Well, miracles can happen, so possibly."
Go get 'em, Grace.
