NEW U.K. SIGNINGS:
RELENTLESS GETS BUSY

There are a few new kids on the block in Blighty, as Virgin EMI, Relentless and Sony/ATV add some names to their respective rosters.

Sony U.K. subsidiary Relentless, led by Shabs Jobanputra, has been busy lately, after signing a deal with emerging talent media channel Link Up TV, which is understood to result in the platform funnelling new signings to the label. Adele White is the A&R who secured the deal, and she’s signed another artist this week in rapper Nadia Rose.

Former Britain’s Got Talent contestant Calum Scott, a singer/songwriter whose cover of Robyn’s "Dancing On My Own" is currently #36 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart after selling 100k worldwide (thanks in part to a sync placement in Vampire Diaries), has signed (as seen above) with Ted Cockle’s Virgin EMI, and Steve Barnett's Capitol in L.A.

Finally, the joint publishing venture between Guy Moot’s Sony/ATV and Mistajam’s Speakerbox has welcomed young singer/songwriter and producer Jamal Woon to the family.
