Jody Gerson's UMPG has tapped Alexandra Lioutikoff as EVP Latin Music. The exec has served at ASCAP since 1998, most recently as VP membership, U.S. Latin & Latin America. Gerson praised Lioutikoff's "strong relationships with artists, songwriters, record labels and publishers," adding that her "extensive experience in the complex world of Latin American societies is truly exceptional."
UMG Latin America and Iberian Peninsula chief Jesus Lopez added, lyrically, that "she possesses all of the qualities of an executive most appreciated in this business, both in A&R and administration"
For her part, Lioutikoff counted herself "thrilled" to come aboard "the best music publisher in the world."
During her tenure at ASCAP, the exec produced the ASCAP Latin Awards (Los Premios de ASCAP) and launched ASCAPLatin.com, among other initiatives.
