Some major moves in the Great White North: Jeffrey Remedios has assumed the mantle of President/CEO of Univeral Music Canada, succeeding longtime chief Randy Lennox,who has taken a high-ranking gig at TV/radio/digital giant Bell Media.
Remedios founded the influential Canuck indie Arts & Crafts. His prior gigs include stints at Virgin and EMI Music Canada.
UMG ruler Lucian Grainge congratulated Remedios, praising his "creative instincts and proven entrepreneurial track record." Meanwhile, he thanked Lennox for "transforming our Canadian company into the market leader both commercially and creatively."
"I want to thank Lucian for this incredible opportunity," Remedios said, adding that "Randy will be a tough act to follow, having created one of the best companies in the music industry."
Lennox has been named President of Entertainment Production and Broadcasting at Bell Media.
