ABOUNDING JOY

Williams' Lead Solo Single Explores Womanhood, Global Grooves

Presenting “Woman (Oh Mama)” by Sensibility Music/Columbia’s Joy Williams; the first single from Williams' forthcoming album, VENUS, it premiered today on iTunes, Vevo and joywilliams.com.

Williams co-penned the global-groove-heavy tune—which she describes as exploring “the complexity and the three-dimensional aspect of what it is to be a woman”—with Audra Mae and Matt Morris. She’ll be performing shows in London (5/6), NYC (5/14) and L.A. (5/19) in advance of the release; tickets go on sale on 4/1. Head to her site for more details.

USA Today ran an interview with Williams this morning, in which she talks about getting advice from Justin Timberlake, writing the single and album and more. Check it out here.
