At the risk of sounding like a broken CD, this was not a sales week to write home about—or write about, period—but we're gonna do it anyway, because we wanna look busy.
The order of the Top 5 hasn't changed, just the sales figures, all of which are less than the previous week. The slippage extends to the two remaining incumbents on the big board, with the only rays of light emanating from a pair of debuts: Kanye West and posse's “I Want You to Know” and the Empire offering "Conqueror."
The last-named track gives the soundtrack business 30% of the Top 10, along with the pair from 50 Shades of Grey, a trend we expect to continue. Flo Rida, meanwhile, completes his 20 week slog to the promised land, picking up a surprising +21% finishing kick.
