The official trailer for Universal's Sundance-featured, already acclaimed documentary on the tragic rise and fall of Nirvana frontman and grunge trailblazer Kurt Cobain, is finally here.
FYI, this is the first fully authorized doc on Cobain yet.
Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, which shines a light on the method (and madness) behind the man with home videos, new interviews, archived footage and animation, will premiere couchside on HBO 5/4. Set those DVRs.
Fun fact: daughter Frances Bean, who's seen in the trailer as an infant, is one of the film's executive producers.
A companion book, containing animation stills, rare photography and other gems from Cobain's personal archive, will also be released.
Director Brett Morgen also hinted that "a mind-blowing 12-minute acoustic Cobain unheard track" will be featured on the film's ST.
Fuck. Is it Christmas in spring or what?
Listening to a mind blowing 12 minute acoustic Cobain unheard track that will be heard on the montage of heck soundtrack. Hello @truefalse
