SAM SMITH, JOHN LEGEND OFFER "RED NOSE" DUET

Pair Join Forces on

Sam Smith and John Legend have recorded a new version of Smith's "Lay Me Down" for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day, a biannual charity event; 100% of the proceeds for the the official Red Nose Day single (now for sale, via Capitol, on iTunes and elsewhere) will go to the org's good works in the U.K. and Africa. The video below, filmed during the sessions at L.A.'s famed Capitol Studios (with some extraordinary footage of children in Africa) premiered on Vevo today.

The pair will perform the song at Comic Relief's Face the Funny concert at London's Palladium on 3/13; the event will be broadcast on BBC Radio 1.
