My Morning Jacket’s seventh full-length, The Waterfall, will be released on May 4 via a somewhat different label configuration: ATO/Capitol. The album was recorded in Stinson Beach Calif., with producer/engineer Tucker Martine, who helmed the previous LP, 2011’s Circuital.
"For me, every record has the spirit of where we made it," says Jim James. "Stinson Beach was so psychedelic and focused. It was almost like we lived on our own little moon out there. It feels like you're up in the sky."
The Waterfall is now on preorder, with lead single “Big Decisions” the instant-grat offering.
