On the night of his recent show at L.A.’s Fabulous Forum, legendary Motor City rocker Bob Seger received a Capitol Lifetime Achievement Award honoring his nearly 50 years at the label and album sales in excess of 50 million. The honor was bestowed upon the rock icon by Capitol Music Group EVP Greg Thompson (rt) and UMe prexy Bruce Resnikoff (l). Then proud Detroiter and ardent fanboy Thompson donned his lucky briefs to re-enact the “Old Time Rock and Roll” segment from Risky Business, prompting Seger to observe that although rock and roll never forgets, sometimes it really, really wishes it could.
