SONG OF THE YEAR GRAMMY POLL: HOW THEY DID

We asked a handful of publishing execs to predict the Song of the Year Grammy winner, and they bravely went on the record. Two of our participants, UMPG prexy North America Evan Lamberg and BMG Chrysalis Chief Creative Officer Zach Katz, correctly ventured it would be "Stay With Me," penned by Sam Smith, William Phillips and James Napier.

UMPG counts Napier as one of its writers, but that doesn't make Evan any less right.

We thank our other guessers, and note that all the Song of the Year songs remain big; while Sia's "Chandelier" didn't win (as SONGS President Ron Perry and Insieme's Jenna Rubenstein felt it would), as we note elsewhere, the enigmatic singer/songwriter's performance on the telecast definitely jetted her to a new career plateau.
