JOE & SAM STROLL DOWN MEMORY LANE

Two generations of music-biz luminaries found common ground yesterday, as our resident henchhipster Samantha Hissong visited industry legend Joe Smith to look through his scrapbooks and memorabilia for a future project. Yes, it does sound like a variation of the old line, “Wanna come over and look at my etchings?” but we can assure you this get-together was totally on the up and up—the twinkle in Joe’s eyes notwithstanding. Is this adorable or what?

Toward the end of their meeting, Joe offered Sam some timeless advice: "If you want to make it in this business, you've got to be sincere. And if you can fake that, you're set."
