Spotify had its ‘coming-out’ party at this year's SxSW. The company’s CEO Daniel Ek delivered one of the keynotes, and while not willing to reveal a firm launch date in the U.S., he alluded that the service will hit the states this year. The company says it has nearly seven million users in six countries for its ad-based free service and over 300k paying subscribers for the premium service. The premium option is ad-free and allows users to stream music from a variety of mobile devices, as well as their PCs. Check out the iPhone app version here. (3/17p)
