WIND-UP AND THE PITCH: Last week, we rumor-mongered about Diana Meltzer being a possible candidate at EMI Music for the A&R post which ended up getting filled by Dan McCarroll, as well as the fact the label might be looking for a buyer. Now comes word that, indeed, a $10m price-tag has been put on the indie, whose hit acts include Creed, Evanescence, Seether and Finger Eleven, among others, with Sony Music now considered the leader among potential buyers.
