deadmau5 hits Vegas

RAVIN’ IN VEGAS: David Guetta isn’t the only superstar DJ making news. deadmau5 will hit the Las Vegas Strip to unveil a brand-new live show on Labor Day weekend. The Sept. 2-3 shows will go down at the Cosmopolitan’s Chelsea venue. “There are no CDs involved,” the Toronto-based deadmau5 (real name: Joel Zimmerman) recently explained. “It’s a technological orgy up there and I try and keep it more my music than anyone else’s. If people come out to see deadmau5, I want them to hear deadmau5 music.” These shows are part of the Marquee Music Marathon, running through Labor Day in Vegas and featuring such genre fixtures as Fatboy Slim, Armin van Buuren, Dirty South, Chuckie and Martin Solveig.
