Shakira Bidding War?

WHITHER SHAKIRA: Shakira is at the center of a bidding war by record labels as her contract with Epic expires, according to a report in N.Y. Post’s Page Six today. The Colombian superstar, who is apparently getting interest from Warner and Island Def Jam, has a 10-year touring deal with Live Nation valued at up to $100 million and is expected to start discussions with record execs early next year. It is unclear whether she will re-sign with Epic now that L.A. Reid is in charge. The Post insists sources say Shakira has “not yet had the chance to meet with LA Reid since he took over in June.” (10/3a)
