BOX OFFICE NEWS: WB’s Dolphin Tale topped the weekend box office haul with a take of $14.2 million in 3,515 theaters (for a cume of $37.5m), holding off Sony’s Moneyball ($12.5m in 2,993 theaters for a two-week of $38.4m) and Disney’s Lion King 3D ($11m in 2,340 theaters for a $79.6 cume). Top newcomers were Summit Mandate’s 50/50 ($8.8m in its first week in 2,458 theaters) and Sony’s Courageous ($8.8m in its first week in 1,161 theaters). (10/3a)
