Hank Jr. lashes back with new song

ROWDY FRIENDS GET NEW THEME SONG: Just days after ESPN ended his 20-year run of doing the intro to Monday Night Football, Hank Williams Jr. has retaliated with a new song. "Keep the Change," available as a free download on his site, talks smack about both ESPN and Fox NewsFox & Friends, which aired the Oct. 3 interview in which Hank Jr. compared Obama to Hitler. Sample lyrics: " So Fox 'n' Friends wanna put me down/Ask for my opinion/Twist it all around /Well two can play that gotcha game… I'll keep my freedom, I'll keep my guns/Try to keep my money and my religion too... Keep the government out of my business/ and y'all can keep the change… Yeah you can keep Fox 'n' Friends and ESPN out of your homes too. 'Cause Bocephus and all his rowdy friends and his song is out of there." The track borrows its title from an anti-Obama song released (but not written) by Williams’ daughter Holly in 2009. He’s also selling "Hank Jr. for President" T-shirts on his site, though he hasn’t yet thrown his 10-gallon hat in the ring. (10/11a)
