GALLAGHER FLYING HIGH: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, the Oasis guitarist's debut solo album, bowed at #1 in the U.K., with an impressive 122k sold in its first week of release. The album comes out in the U.S. on Nov. 8 on the Sour Mash/Mercury Records label, followed by the band’s network TV bow on David Letterman Nov. 10. Gallagher and company launch their first tour of North American on Nov. 7-8 at Toronto’s Massey Hall, with scheduled dates in N.Y. (Beacon Theater, Nov. 14-15) and L.A. (Royce Hall, Nov. 17-18), which will include a selection of Oasis favorites.
