Record Store Day Product

VINYL SOLUTIONS: This year’s Record Store Day, scheduled for Nov. 25 and dubbed “Back to Black Friday,” is already prompting announcements from major and indie labels alike of what they have planned. Warner Bros. Records will release limited edition vinyl versions of Red Hot Chili PeppersBlood Sugar Sex Magik, Iron and Wine’s Live at KCRW, Tom Petty’s live Kiss My Amps, a two-song 12” EP by The Black Keys and an Eric Clapton Blues Box. Each will be available the day after Thanksgiving at participating record stores and at www.becausesoundmatters.com. Meanwhile L.A. indie Dangerbird Records will mark the occasion with Silversun PickupsSeasick, a 10-inch vinyl release featuring three previously unreleased tunes, and two rare Sea Wolf tracks, including a 7-inch featuring “Song of the Magpie” and “Where the Wind Blows.” The releases will serve as teasers for each act’s full-length releases scheduled for spring 2012.
