Fantasy Studios Celebrate 40

FANTASY’S LIFE BEGINS AT 40: Fantasy Studios, the legendary Bay Area landmark which produced platinum records by chief residents Creedence Clearwater Revival, Green Day, Santana, Journey and Aerosmith, among others, celebrates its 40th anniversary this month. The Berkeley, CA, studios, part of the Zaentz Media Center, underwent major renovations in 2007. It also served as a post-production house for movies including Amadeus, Apocalypse Now, The English Patient, Good Will Hunting, Moneyball and several Pixar films, including the upcoming John Carter. In celebration of the studio's 40th anniversary, a social media campaign is being launched via Facebook and Twitter inviting fans of music, film, television and gaming to participate in a Fantasy trivia contest. Fantasy Studios merchandise and one grand prize will be given away during the month of November. In addition, Fantasy’s social sites will be highlighting 40 incredible songs recorded over the studios’ 40 years in operation. (11/2p)
