UMG Q4 Roll Call

KINGS OF THE UNIVERSAL: The UMG East team of Barry Weiss, IDJ’s Steve Bartels and Universal Republic’s Monte Lipman are breaking out their big guns for Q4, starting with this week’s release of the Justin Bieber Christmas album (his last did 2.95m) and highly touted U.K. act Florence + the Machine (770k). Then it’s time for the oft-delayed Nov. 15 release from Slim and Baby’s Cash Money superstar Drake (1.45m) by way of Universal Republic. IDJ’s Rihanna (1.47m) and Monte and Avery’s The Voice winner Javier Colon are on tap for Nov. 21, with Def Jam/IDJ’s Young Jeezy (1m) slated for Dec. 6. For more Q4 action, see I.B. Bad’s ruminations here. (11/4p)
