Thirty Seconds to Mars Set Records

INVADERS FROM MARS: Thirty Seconds to Mars picked up their 5th and 6th MTV EMA awards last night in Belfast when they were announced the winners of the 2011 Best Alternative Award and Best World Stage after being nominated in three separate categories. The band credited their dedicated family of believers, The Echelon, for winning the awards, which were completely based on fan votes. Said lead singer Jared Leto said, " We proudly accept this on their behalf and thank them for the reminder that from faith and action, dreams come alive." The band will bring their successful world tour to a close in December by playing a series of special shows in NYC celebrating their 300th, marking a new Guinness World Record for the most shows played during a single album cycle.
