Crosby & Nash play Occupy Wall Street

LONG TIME COMING: We greeted the news that David Crosby and Graham Nash played an acoustic set yesterday at Occupy Wall Street with a rhetorical question: What took them so long? As the N.Y. Daily News colorfully put it, a sun-splashed, tent-filled Zuccotti Park turned into a mini-Woodstock as the crowd sang along to “Teach Your Children” and “Military Madness.” "Keep going!" Crosby yelled to the crowded park. “No more war!” And they dutifully chanted the phrase, as they’d learned to do from watching ’60s documentaries. As he left the park, Nash told the Daily News he understood where the crowd was coming from. "People are pissed off and they have a reason to be pissed off. They just want jobs. They want to be part of society. I’m here to help. The system is against them," he said. (11/9a)
