MEET THE NEW BOSS, SAME AS THE OLD BOSS: A consortium headed by Sony Music Corp., and including the participation of David Geffen, has acquired EMI Music Publishing for $2.2 billion, which gives Citigroup a return of $4.1 billion for the entire company after taking it over from Terra Firma’s Guy Hands, who bought it for $4.7 billion in August 2007. That means Sony/ATV boss Martin Bandier gets to head the company he left in 2002 with the appointment of Roger Faxon. For the full story, go here.
