TIMING IS EVERYTHING: Yup, the rumors are true. During its Sunday Night Football telecast of the surging Saints’ victory over the recently toothless Lions, NBC confirmed that Madonna will headline the halftime show at the Super Bowl. The big game will take place on Feb. 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, the home of the likely 0-16 Colts and the likely future home of Stanford QB and Heisman Trophy frontrunner Andrew Luck. The Madge-directed W.E., a film about a woman obsessed with the love affair of Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson, is scheduled to open on Feb. 3. And as I.B. Bad told you last week, the Material Girl, who is now a Live Nation property, has signed a three-album, $30m deal with Interscope. (12/6a)
