YEAR-END KUDOS: Singer/songwriter Kina Grannis’ smash viral video jelly bean clip, “In Your Arms,” made Time magazine’s list of Top 10 creative videos. The mag’s Top 10 albums tally was headed by, no surprise here, Adele’s 21, followed by Florence + the Machine’s Ceremonials and Jay Z/Kanye West’s Watch the Throne, with The Civil Wars’ Barton Hollow at #9. NPR’s Ann Powers also had Barton Hollow in her Top 10, along with PJ Harvey’s Let England Shake and tUnE-yArDs’ w h o k i l l. Paste magazine named The Civil Wars #3 on its list of 20 Best New Bands of 2011. The Civil Wars also finished #5 on Amazon’s Top 100 albums (also featuring Adele at #1), while the duo's “Poison and Wine” was #59 on its 100 Best Songs, which was topped by “Rolling in the Deep.” (12/7p)
